About me

My name is Amanda and I live in Åkers Styckebruk, Sweden. I'm working as a preschool-teacher and I spend all my free time with my dogs. I've loved dogs since I was I little girl and I always tried to persuade my mom to buy me a dog but with no success. When I turned 14 we finally bought a dog, a standard poodle named Zimba and he was my first own dog. With him I tried all kinds of different dogsports and activities. When I moved out in 2003 he stayed with my mother. Shortly after that I was introduced to the american staffordshire terrier who stole my heart :). 

About the Kennel and my breeding

My kennelprefix Exelion was registered in 2008. My dogs are familymembers at first and the goal with my breeding is to get well-functioning, healthy familydogs with a stabile mind and a correct appearence according to the breedstandard. The physical and mental health-aspect in breeding is very important for me. All my dogs will be x-rayed, tested against Cerebellar Ataxia and, if possible, mental-descripted before they are used in breeding. Behind every breeding there's a lot of research to find two dogs that really matches eachother and have the qualities I look for. I will mainly use dogs in breeding who are free on both hips and elbows.

I do NOT use dogs in breeding who:

- Has any kind of skin problems

- Has abnormal fears and nervousness

- Has obvious physical defects

To me it's also important to evaluate every litter through foremost x-ray and mental descriptions. This is the only way for me to know my breeding is taking the right direction according to my demands. Therefore I wish to have a close collaboration with all my puppiebuyers in this aspect.

The american staffordshire terrier is an active dog and loves to do things. It's an allround dog and below you can see what me and my dogs are doing.
